Wales forced into late change ahead of Springboks clash

Wales wing Josh Adams has been withdrawn from the squad shortly before their clash with South Africa in Durban in round three of the Nations Championship.

The 31-year-old, who has a tight calf, has been replaced in the squad by Ellis Mee, who started on the right wing last week in Louis Rees-Zammit’s place.

Wales suffered a 73-0 loss to the Springboks in Cardiff in November, and losing a British & Irish Lion is far from ideal preparation for head coach Steve Tandy.
