The club was founded in 1904 and has developed a strong fan base over the years. The Stade Jean Alric hosts the majority of their home matches and has a capacity of around 9,000.
In 1986, the club made the final of the Coupe de France for the first time. They ultimately finished as runners-up, after losing 40-9 against AS Béziers. In 1996, they were once again runners-up, this time in Première Division Group B.
In 2007, they won the Fédérale 1 and gained promotion to the Pro D2. Since then, the Aurillac rugby team has consistently played in the Pro D2. In recent seasons, they’ve been a solid mid-table team. However, in the 2024-25 season, they had to play in a relegation playoff match against Chambéry. Thankfully, they won 45-15 and retained their place in the Pro D2 for the 2025-26 season.
Aurillac is a strong team with an enthusiastic fan base and we hope to see more success from the club in the near future.
