FODEN WANTS TITLE
Ben Foden of the Aviva Premiership side the Northampton Saints has said that it makes him sick and tired having to hear the continuous talk of the potential that The Saints have in their lineup and believes that it is high time that they make something out of that potential keep talking about and deliver their first Aviva Premiership title to the fans and the club.
Foden, who has just returned to the fold of The Saints having spent almost eight weeks away on national team duty with England in the Six Nations, has been in blinding form ever since his return and he is targeting a strong finish for the club.
The Saints reached the playoff semi finals of the Aviva Premiership in each of the last two seasons and even made it to the final of the Heineken Cup but a major trophy still eludes the club that is full of history. The Northampton Saints won their match against Bath Rugby leaving them fourth on the table and with the Saracens facing defeat, there is every possibility that they could end the season with a top two finish, which would mean they would be able to play the playoff semi final on their home turf with just three games of the season left.
Foden has long been considered as one of the brightest talents in the European rugby scene and signed a contract extension with the side at the start of the season and he is hoping that the faith he has shown in the team pays off in the near future.
The Northampton Saints had a week off as a result of the other rivals’ commitments in Europe and Foden believes that this week off will help the side ahead of the next few matches in the League.
